LI History Project features Dr. Gaynell Stone’s film, The Sugar Connection

The latest Long Island History Project features part II of our talk with Dr. Gaynell Stone, director of the Suffolk County Archaeological Association. We covered her work as a documentary filmmaker. Her first film, The Sugar Connection, focused on the Sylvester Manor on Shelter Island. Dr. Stone continues to work on a series of films documenting the manors of Long Island, from Gardiner’s Island to the Manor of St. George.

The Long Island History Project is a collaboration between the Dowling College Library and the Long Island Radio and Television Historical Society (LIRTHS), hosted by Dowling librarian Chris Kretz and LIRTHS Vice President Connie Currie.
