Robert Mathewson Scholarship

Any student pursuing a B.A. in Biology or a B.A. in Natural Science with a concentration in Biology is eligible for this scholarship. To apply, students must be in their senior year, have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall, and have completed 90 credits (30 of which must be from Dowling College). The individual will be selected by the Biology Department on the basis of academic merit, as well as financial need. Robert Mathewson was a biologist and former director of the Lerner Marine Laboratory, Museum of Natural History, Bimini, Bahamas. He received an honorary degree at Dowling College in 1972.
