Financial Aid for Undergraduate Students - Dowling College Scholarships and Grants

Public Service Grants
In an effort to recognize and acknowledge our community members who serve the public good, we offer the Public Service Grant to eligible public service employees and their dependents. These grants are available to permanent employees.
Grants of 25% of tuition are offered to eligible employees. In addition, grants of 25% of tuition are extended to spouses and dependents of eligible employees for the spouse's/dependent's first (12) undergraduate credits and their first six (6) credits graduate credits.
How to apply for this grant:
- Complete the Public Service Grant Eligibility form available in the Student Financial Services or download it from the link below.
- Submit a copy of most recent pay stub
- Send both forms to: Student Financial Services, Room 105FH, Dowling College 150 Idle Hour Blvd. Oakdale, NY 11769

Town of Islip
Town of Brookhaven
Exclusions:
- For profit organizations
- Public school teachers
- Employees eligible to receive tuition assistance from their employer
- Students receiving the Public Service Grant are precluded from receiving aid from more than one Dowling College grant program concurrently. However, students may receive Dowling academic merit scholarship in addition to the Public Service Grant
- Temporary or seasonal employees
- Dowling Institute programs
- Reduced or fixed rate programs such as SCOPE, Saturday MBA , and Ed.D program
