Financial Aid
What You Need To Do To Complete The Financial Aid Application Process
Every applicant seeking financial aid must file:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for Federal, State, and Institutional aid. Dowling College's school code for the FAFSA is #002667. (Our priority deadline for receipt of the FAFSA is April 30 for the upcoming academic year.)
- The Express Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Application to determine eligibility for New York State Grants. Residents of other states should inquire about their home state's policies and obtain any necessary forms.
- A Terms and Conditions of Financial Aid form available at http://www.dowling.edu/mydowling/forms/stu-index.html (click on #2 under Scholarships & Financial Aid). This form is also available in Student Financial Services
The FAFSA application is available at High School guidance offices and on the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov There is a link on the fafsa website that will bring you directly to the NYS TAP application or you can visit www.tapweb.org.
Students interested in academic scholarships should complete the admissions process as early as possible, which includes having final, official transcripts of previous coursework sent to the Office of Enrollment Services, Idle Hour Blvd, Room 228 Fortunoff Hall, Oakdale, NY 11769. All newly admitted students are considered for merit scholarships to the extent that they are eligible.
If you wish to be considered for a designated and endowed scholarship, a separate application may be required.
