Financial Aid
Federal, State and Institutional Financial Aid Requirements

In general, to be eligible for Federal, State and institutional financial aid, a student must:

  1. be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  2. make satisfactory academic progress in his/her program of study
  3. not be in default on a Federal student loan and not have received an overpayment on a Federal grant
  4. be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible program of study
  5. be enrolled on at least a half-time (6 credits per semester) basis
  6. not borrow in excess of annual or aggregate loan limits
  7. not have been convicted of certain drug-related offenses

Students applying for funding from New York State must be legal residents of New York State. Residency for college attendance is not sufficient to meet New York State residency regulations.
