Dr. Haller joined Dowling in 1990 as an adjunct law professor in the School of Business and became a full-time faculty member and Chair of the Management Department the next year, September 1991. He is currently an Associate Professor of Management and remains department chair. He specializes in teaching Labor Relations, Business Law and his senior seminar in Sports and World Culture. He has also taught Sports Law and Employment Law.
Before joining Dowling Professor Haller was a full-time practicing attorney having worked in both the public and private sector. He retains his private law practice with an emphasis on sports and employment law. He is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and the Labor and Employment Sections of the Suffolk, New York and American Bar Associations.
In addition to teaching at Dowling, Professor Haller has been on the faculty of Hofstra University, Stony Brook University and Briarcliff College .He has published in the area of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, NY Family Law and Principles of Coaching. He has appeared on WFAN, News 12 and in Newsday, The Long Island Business News and the New York Times.
