Schedule

As a student accepted into the program, you will be part of a cohort of learners (approximately 12-14 students per cohort) who remain together for the duration of the coursework. You will complete the following schedule of classes:
  • Two weekends in June
  • Two weekends in July
  • One full week in July
  • Five weekends from September to December
  • February (President's Day week) and two weekends
  • Four weekends from March to May

You will complete two years (six semesters) of coursework and spend one year (three semesters) writing your dissertation. The proposal and dissertation seminars typically contain a 6-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio to ensure maximum advisement for all candidates.

All classes will take place in person at Dowling's Brookhaven Campus. Classes will occur in fall, spring, June, and July. No classes will be scheduled in August or January.

Tuition for the program is $50,640, which includes a laptop computer, SPSS and Microsoft software, textbooks, and registration fees. Financial aid is available to qualified applicants.
