Dowling College Open Forum – The reality of Drones/UAV’s

On February 22nd Jim Record of Dowling College’s School of Aviation led an open forum about the future economic, social, and ethical implications of drones, including their role at Dowling College, which now features a drone club, courses on drones, and a forthcoming minor.

It is widely believed that the impact drones will have on society could come to rival that of the smart phone. One of the big takeaways of the discussion was that drone operations is hardly limited to pilots, and that students in any field can increase their marketability and earning potential by becoming familiar with drone technology.
