Over a year in the making, Dowling is in the process of putting the final touches on a Game Design & Development program that will truly be a “game changer” for students on Long Island and the Tri-State area. The full 120 credit BFA in Game Design and Development is one of the many new programs that Dowling College is set to release in the coming year. The program will feature courses, such as Video Game Programming, Story & Character Design, 3-D Modeling / Animation, Video Game Business, and plenty more to put your game design career on track. Students will get hands-on learning experience creating their own games from scratch using various gaming engines, as well as real world working experience through the programs required internship.
Now is the time to start you career in Game Design and Development. Gaming is one of the world’s fastest growing industries. According to the Princeton Review, the average starting salary for a graduate with a gaming degree is $58,000, which is a 20% increase from last year.
