Campus Life
All undergraduate Dowling College students are entitled to all
benefits of the Student Government Association, whose main purpose is
to meet the needs of the student body.
The Executive Board, the Student Senate, and the Student Review
Board are branches of the Student Government Association and are
directly responsible to the S.G.A. for their actions. S.G.A. officers are
elected in April and serve for a one-year term.
Throughout the academic year, many social functions are sponsored
by the various clubs and classes of the Student Government Association.
Tickets are available in
the Student Activities Office located in the Residence Life Building and
Brookhaven in the Student Services Center. Some traditional events held
each year are the Halloween Party, the Holiday Ball, and the semi -formal
Spring Cotillion. Other informal dances, as well as trips and other events,
are sponsored by different clubs throughout the year. At the end of the
Spring semester, the S.G.A. sponsors an "End of the Year Party" for all
undergraduates. The Student Government Association Office is located in the Curtin
Student Center, Extension 3068.
