Below is a summary of services that are available to you through our office: (fees are noted where applicable)

Career Counseling
You may make an appointment to meet with a Career Counselor to explore a limitless range of issues relevant to your career, including career change, exploration, preparedness, etc. Our counselors are specially trained to assist you with the critical decision making processes and self assessment necessary for you to make thoughtful, meaningful decisions about your career.

Workshops
A comprehensive series of workshops aimed at developing the skills necessary for an effective job search are also available. Topics covered include: Self Assessment, Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, and Job Search Skills. Click on our "Workshops" button for a list of available dates and times.

Interest Testing
Sometimes it is necessary to re-evaluate one’s chosen career direction. If you are having reservations about your current career path and career satisfaction, interest testing may be a valuable resource for you. After a formal appointment and assessment with a Career Counselor, a follow-up appointment can be made for Career Interest Testing. Inventories used for this assessment can often lend themselves to a successful decision-making process.

Career Events
All of our career events are open to alumni for participation. Click on "Events" or "On-Campus Recruitment" for a list of dates, times and deadlines for various career related events.

Education Credentials Files
For a fee of $25/year, alumni may maintain copies of their certification, transcripts and letters of recommendation on file for forwarding to prospective employers. There is no limit to the number of forwards requested during a year. Presentation is prompt and professional. To become a recipient of this service, alumni should contact or stop in to the career services offices.

Job Postings
We maintain online job postings via our dowling-csm.symplicity.com service, and non-electronic job postings that are available for review within the Career Services office on a walk-in basis, anytime during our scheduled office hours.
