      1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Dr. Elsa-Sofia Morote will be leading a workshop entitled “A New Learning Design For a Networked Age”

“Most e-learning design is about gathering a comprehensive set of material, storyboarding the content, developing screens of information and adding in interactivity and quizzes to test understanding. When it comes to formal social learning, there is a need for a quite different design approach. It is not just about “adding in” social interactions or “bolting on” a learning community, and then requiring participants “to be social”; it requires a new learning design philosophy and approach that focuses on its value as a workplace performance solution. I will discuss possible ideas on how to include social learning in your classes.”
