MOREIRA AND POTPARA NAMED ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maja Potpara (Pljevlja, Montenegro) of the Volleyball team and Vanessa Moreira (Selden, NY) of the Women’s Soccer team have been named ECAC Player of the Week.
Potpara earned the honor after tallying 78 assists and 40 kills in Dowling’s 4-0 week. In a five-set match against C.W. Post, Potpara had 25 assists, 11 kills, and three total blocks. The freshman recorded a triple-double against Adelphi with 18 assists, 10 digs, and 11 kills.
Moreira also received the award after helping Dowling to a 2-0 week with three goals and an assist. She netted back-to-back goals in a 4-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. She closed the week out with a three point performance (one goal, one assist) in a win over Queens College.
