Taras Wallace (Barnaget, NJ), along with C.W. Post's Samantha Yodowitz were named Co-Players of the Year as voted on by the coaches if the ECC. Joining Wallace on the First Team is Jackie Hannan (Sayville, NY) and garnishing Third Team honors are Keri Boystak (Lindenhurst, NY) and Kristina DeMeo (Bay Shore, NY). read more>>
DRANOFF APPOINTED COMMISSIONER OF EAST COAST CONFERENCE May 5, 2008
Dr. Robert J. Dranoff, Director of Athletics and Assistant Dean of Student Services at Suffolk (N.Y.) Behind a strong pitching performance from Gabriel Duran, The Golden Lions defeated Bridgeport 7-2. The win puts Dowling in a three way tie for the ECC regualr season title with a 17-10 conference record. After tie breakers Dowling will be the #3 seed in the upcoming conference tournament and host #6 Adelphi on Wednesday. read more>>

In a clawbitter at Golden Lions Field, #8 Dowling upsets #2 NYIT 15-14 on a golden goal by Nick Cotter (Whitby, Ontario) with :17 left. Dowling improves to 12-3, 4-2 in ECC play while NYIT sufferes its first loss of the season, dropping to 11-1, 5-1 in the ECC. read more>>
