1970-1979

Beverly Robinson, B.A. '79, spent 15 years in book publishing industry as a Publicity Executive. She received her Masters in Media & Communication from New School University in 1986 and is now working toward Certification to be a Teacher of English Language Arts, Grades 5-9. She published a book, LeBron James: King of the Court in 2006 (ForestHill Publishing).

Frank M. Corso, Jr., '77, is a Trustee of Friends of The World Food Program/United Nations and was the speaker for the American Kidney Fund's first New Jersey Walk at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey and the founder of Frank Mitchell Corso, Jr. and Associates, Inc., a Business & Finance consulting firm in Jericho, New York.

Arthur H. Rosenberg, Esq., B.S., '75, is a founding member of the New York law firm of Soberman & Rosenberg that represents injured passengers and family members killed in major commercial airline disasters. He successfully represented numerous victims and families of the September 11, 2001 Twin Towers tragedy, American and European families as a result of the TWA Flight 800 disaster off Long Island, New York on July 17, 1996, the Swissair Flight 111 crash into the Atlantic Ocean near Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia on September 2, 1998 and victims of general aviation accidents including those caused by the negligence of the Federal Aviation Administration. He and the firm are AV rated, the highest rating bestowed by Martindale Hubbell, the nations leading directory of attorneys and law firms.

John L. Swartz, B.S., '74, was an Air Traffic Controller at the New York TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach Control). In 1971, Dowling College developed a program of studies for Air Traffic Controllers, of which he was a student in the first class. John spent 38 years as a Controller, retiring in 1994. Thanks to Dowling College, his degree prepared him for a career in management in the Air Traffic System. Being a controller was a great career and he would encourage all students to seek the ATC degree that Dowling College offers.

Michael Buckman, B.A., '74, retired after 33 years of teaching. He lives in Ridge, N.Y. where he owns the Polo Grounds Sports Camp Inc. and operates it each summer. He is a ranger at a golf course on weekends at Rolling Oaks in Rocky Point, N.Y. and enjoys golf. He has four boys and loves being retired.

Patricia Harvey-Maines, B.A., '78, recently graduated Summa Cum Lade from the University of Tampa with her Master of Arts in Teaching degree, specializing in secondary science education. Patricia is also a member of the Kappa Tau chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

Ralph S. Cerullo, B.B.A., '78, is currently with the firm of Greenberg Traurig in Manhattan.

Frank M. Corso, Jr., B.A., '77, has been hard at work chairing the 2nd Annual Northeast Golf Outing for the American Kidney Fund. This event will be held on August 6, 2007 at the Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Commack.

Edward Ehmann, B.A., '71; M.S., '80 was named Superintendent of the Smithtown School District, effective July 1, 2007. Edward is in Dowling's Athletic Hall of Fame, and has been a strong advocate for the College.
