Admissions
Doctoral Program (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration
To complete the application, please submit the following:
A letter of application, completed application form, and a $100 non-refundable application fee made payable toDowling College. Please note the Ed.D. Program in Educational Administration in the memo section of the check.
Transcript(s) confirming earned Bachelor's & Master's degrees from accredited institutions or their approved equivalent.
Transcript(s) confirming either
(1) an earned Post-master's Professional Diploma in Education Administration or
(2) a Master's degree, plus 12-15 graduate credits in administration approved by the Dean of the School ofEducation with an earned G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher.
Assessment portfolios of graduate work if required by previous course work.
Two letters of recommendation from professional individuals attesting that the applicant has the ability to complete doctoral studies.
A resume or vita that includes all professional experience, education, certification and other relevant information.
Personal essays in response to the following topics:
a) Document one's own commitment to the education and growth of student educators;
b) Identify one's professional goals and how this program will help attain those goals.
Completion within the last three (3) years of a graduate study admission examination at the specified performance level:
(1)Graduate Record Examination (GRE): a minimum score of 550 on the verbal section and 1500 cumulative score on the verbal, Quantitative and Analytical sections or
(2)Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT): a minimum score of 490 or
(3)Law School Admissions Test (LSAT): a minimum score of 140 or
(4)Miller Analogies Test (MAT): a minimum score of 45.
A minimum of two years professional experience.
When all the aforementioned documents have been received, the applicant will be required to participate in a personalinterview with the Program faculty.
Participants are admitted to the Program solely on the basis of ability.
