Research / Projects

Dr. Boyko’s research focuses on the phylogenetic systematics, taxonomy, zoogeography and ecology of crustaceans, with particular focus on parasitic crustaceans and their hosts.

Recent student projects include Alyssa Liguori’s work on the biodiversity of the crab fauna of Easter Island, which resulted in two papers in the journal Pacific Science, and Dan Moscato’s study on diversity in western Atlantic species of the isopod genus Edotea.
