Peer 2 Peer

Peer 2 Peer volunteers helping out at a Milk and Cookies event in the Lions Den

Peer 2 Peer is a peer mentoring program where Dowling College’s honors students and presidential scholars use their community service hours to academically assist students.  There are a variety of worthwhile opportunities for volunteers to engage in such as tutoring students in the Learning Center,  assisting instructors in Developmental classrooms and working with Dowling College’s SGA club, Keeping it Real, by providing academic assistance during Milk and Cookies events. All Peer 2 Peer volunteers must undergo an academic evaluation and participate in ongoing training.  If you are a Dowling College student and you believe you qualify for this program, please contact Jane Bertsch-Wells at 244-1168 or stop by the Learning Center (RC 101) and ask about this program.
