Board of Trustees

Comprised of business and community leaders from across Long Island and the region, the Dowling College Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring that the institution fulfills its mission of providing all students with the best education possible.

To do this, the Board provides crucial oversight and governance, including adoption and enforcement of all reasonable rules, regulations and bylaws for the government and operation of the College. It determines policy, adopts budgets, approves long-range plans, selects the President, and evaluates his/her effectiveness. The Board also applies the standards and requirements for admission and graduation of students and other standards established by the State Department of Education.
