The Mansion
Basement

The Suffolk County News describes the basement: "The cellars, the wine cellar with its heavy iron doors and combination lock, the hot water heating and the ventilating apparatus, the pantry, the men servants' sleeping rooms and the servants' dining room are all in the basement and all on a scale to correspond with the size of the establishment and of the owner's purse. The kitchen floors and walls are all of white tile and the ceiling is nearly 20 feet high."
