Ronald Parr is Principal of The Parr Group of Companies (Ronkonkoma, NY), developer of thousands of housing units and millions of square feet of office and industrial space throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, the most recent of which is Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Central Islip, NY, and the Suffolk County Community College Culinary Arts Facility in Riverhead, NY. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Iona College. Among his numerous awards are Distinguished Community Service Award from Touro Law Center, Commercial Developer of the Year by Long Island Business News, Outstanding Long Island Developer by the Long Island Business Development Council, Distinguished Citizen Awards from the Family Service Association of Nassau County, The Working Organization for Retarded Children and Adults, and Suffolk District of the Boy Scouts of America, the Distinguished Service Award from the Association for the Help of Retarded Children, and he was presented with a Proclamation from the Suffolk County Executive, recognizing his service to the Suffolk County community, and he also received Dowling College’s 25th Annual Citizen Award. Mr. Parr is a member of the Board of Advisors of The Energeia Partnership – The Academy for Regional Stewardship at Molloy College, and is a former member of the Suffolk County Planning Commission. He has been a member of the Dowling Board of Trustees since October 1989.
