Lisa Hoke makes vividly colored installation pieces that frequently use everyday materials such as rubber bands and drinking straws. This exhibition of her work represents an opportunity for Dowling’s Visual Arts students to collaborate with an artist-in-residence. The Living Classroom is a component of the course entitled Major Studio, which combines traditional art history and portfolio development with on-site learning.

Dowling College’s annual student exhibition features work by students enrolled in Major Studio and the Visual Communications Seminar. Thematically, this show presents the diversity of our students’ creative interests and artistic ambitions.
