Q & A and lecture by the artist at 2:00 p.m.

The Anthony Giordano Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of the contemporary textile-based artist Kimberley Hart. Ms. Hartís multi-media sculptures and installations explore the darker side of childhood experience by applying kitschy folk traditions of textile art to more ominous and unsettling subject matter. Although her work often seems innocent and charming at first glimpse, it frequently delves into disagreeable and psychologically fraught aspects of girlhood.

The "Living Classroom" is organized in conjunction with the collegeís course Contemporary Art, offered by the Visual Arts Department. This class includes traditional art history lectures and New York gallery and museum visits as well as collaborations and interactions with an artist selected specifically for this exhibition.
