Student Government Association
Executive Board

The Executive Board of the Student Government Association consists of the president, vice president of administration and secretary, vice president of finance and treasurer, and vice president of activities. These positions are officers of the Student Government Association. For more information, please call 631.244.3068 or visit the Curtin Student Center, room 116.

President
The president shall have general supervision and management of the student's interests as his/her chief responsibility. In addition, the president shall preside over meetings of the Student Government Association. He/she appoints or creates all student committees with the approval of the Senate.

Vice President of Finance and Treasurer
The vice president of finance and treasurer shall keep account of all monies received and disbursed by the Student Government Association (including the identifying name, value, and location of all possessions) and a list of all assessments and fees and dues paid. He/she is responsible for signing the check requisition forms. In the absence of the president and the vice president of administration and secretary, the vice president of finance and treasurer shall be the presiding officer at Student Government Association meetings.

Vice President of Activities
The vice president of activities acts as a sponsor to the freshman class and assists the officers of all clubs to organize and coordinate their activities. He/she is also responsible for establishing a calendar of events each year which will include all of the events scheduled by the club and organizations, and assisting in the organization of new clubs and organizations.

Vice President of Administration and Secretary
In the absence of the president, the vice president of administration and secretary presides at meetings of the Student Government Association and of joint session meetings. Should the Office of the President be vacated, the vice president of administration and secretary becomes president for the remainder of the term and shall appoint a new vice president of administration and secretary with the approval of the Senate. He/she keeps a record of the minutes of all Executive Board, Senate, and Student Review Board meetings. The vice president of administration and secretary also keeps a list of all records and permanent policies adopted by the Senate; a record of the list of club officers; the list of club members; and the adviser sheet for every club.
