Math Center

NOTICE: Due to scheduling problems, we have moved the Math Lab opening time back to 10am Monday through Friday. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hours

10:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (drop-in Oakdale only)
Stop in to RC101 to pick up a schedule of tutor availability for specific math courses.

Appointment Hours

5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (days vary)
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday (by appt.)

Appointment hours at Brookhaven vary. Call for availability.

To make an appointment:

Call the Student Services Center at (631) 244-3141 (Oakdale) or (631)244-1390 (Brookhaven).
Ask to make an appointment with a math tutor, and be prepared to give the best times for you.
Choose which of the available tutors you would like to work with. (If you don't know, that's fine, too.)

To utilize our drop-in hours:

Come to the Math Lab, RC209B, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Make sure you check the schedule for an available tutor for your specific course. You can get started right away.
Be sure to bring your assignment, class notes, text book, and any work you have done thus far.

Remote Math Tutoring

Math help is also available for quick questions by phone. During drop-in lab hours, you may call (631) 244-3364 and speak to a math tutor directly. During other hours you may call and leave a message for a math tutor. Be sure to include your name and a phone number where you can be reached.
