Students take courses focusing on the unique business and ethical issues of the sports industry. Courses include topics in Sport Facility Management; Sports Information, Publicity and Marketing; Event Planning and Management; Communication, Media and Technology; Sports Law and Player Contracts; and Sports Personnel Management. Some highlights of the program include:

• Foundations in the management and marketing of sport activities and programs.
• Event field work and internship placements.
• Professional interactions with a diverse group with a wide range of professional sport responsibilities, real-world problems and interests.
• Four applied papers that can be used in a portfolio for a job search as a reference for your future in your Sport Management career.

Guest speakers and lecturers enhance the professional focus of the program. Guest speakers have included team owners, sports agents, general managers, marketing directors, and professional players.
