M.S. Program Objectives

 

The objectives of the Master's Degree program in Educational Technology and Leadership are:

  1. Students will gain a broad understanding of the uses of technology in a variety of settings

  2. Students will be able to select courses that will allow them to develop or enhance specific skills or knowledge in technology and leadership.

  3. Supervised experience will be obtained through working with a mentor in the Educational Technology Practicum.

  4. One of the programs component will allow the student to learn the basics of action research and complete a research study of their own design with the supervision of the faculty on a specific topic in Educational Technology Leadership.

  5. The cohort model will allow interaction between local, national, and international students, which will enrich the education.

  6. To promote an ease and comfort of using the latest technology and to promote efficiency of operation within educational leadership positions

  7. To prepare professional educators for administrative leadership roles in school systems

  8. To foster within students theoretical, research, political and collaborative skills needed to become models of leadership in today's educational communities.
