Cohort, Format and Support


The Executive Cohort

The concentrated Executive Cohort program, whici his geared toward an executive's work schedule, provides class patterns that meet for 15 days in July, four days in October, three days in November, three days in December, 10 days in February, two weekends in March, and five days in April. Both programs follow this schedule for eight semesters during the first two years. The third year is dedicated to three semesters of dissertation writing seminars in which six to eight students meet with a member of their dissertation committee twice each month for five hours.

The Weekend Cohort

The Weekend Cohort pattern provides classes exclusively on Friday nights from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturdays & Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Fall and Spring semesters, and eight weekends in June and July.

Format and Support

The program includes six modules encompassing such topics as organizational theory, policy analysis, leadership strategies, organizational behavior, institutional analysis, policy development, advanced computer applications, and qualitative and quantitative research methods. The six major learning modules involve a nationally recognized faculty who engage students in stimulating activities to further enhance the educational experience.
