DC Manhattan Faculty Member Talks Travel Abroad Options for Students

On Wednesday, October 16, Dowling College Manhattan faculty member, Natalie Jesionka,20151014_162104_1 spoke to Dowling students about all the opportunities that are out there to win awards like Fulbright, Mitchell, or Marshall fellowships to study abroad.  Natalie spent an hour teaching students about the resources available, the application process, and offered to help mentor the Dowling students in attendance looking to do research and travel abroad.  Natalie, an internationally recognized scholar in the field of human trafficking, sits on the Board of Directors of Amnesty International, and has won several of these grants herself.
Traveling with Natalie were several Norwegian students who are spending a semester abroad at Dowling Manhattan, who loved the peaceful serenity of the Oakdale campus, especially compared to the Wall Street location of Dowling Manhattan.
